Wildflowers
Turks Cap Lily |
 |
Capable of reaching a height of nearly three feet tall, this gentle giant of summer is among the largest members of the Lily Family. With recurved petals colored yellow to orange and bearing reddish-brown spots, this flower can be identified from some distance away, growing on moist roadsides and meadows. |
| Pink Lily's
|
 |
These gorgeous pink lily's were growing beside a fence. They towered over other plants and flowers. These blooms were eye level with me. |
Coral and Moss |
 |
Although this coral colored mushroom is not a wildflower, It caught my eye with its bright coral color. The moss covered ground seemed to be a perfect place for it to live. |

 |
Common all over the us, these black eyed susans were growing along side a fence. |

In the Garden |

Our neighbors had a profusion of color next to their cabin. This is just one example of the varigated color of this lily. |
| A profusion of purple |

This display of purple was breathtaking. |
| Red |

 |
This had an unusual center that reminded me of a pineapple. |
| Balsam Mountain Trail |
