Smoky Mountain Waterfalls

This waterfall is one of my favorite places to visit. Its located right beside the road. A parking pulloff is just a few feet from this gorgeous view. Size limits have prevented me from showing you the full size picture. But click the image for a better size view. |
Dry Falls |
 |
Dry falls is located off of Highway 64, between Franklin and Highlands North Carolina. This falls is anything but dry. The paved pathway leads underneath the falls and along the other side. This view is the far side from the entrance. |

This is another view of Dry Falls. I was standing on the path looking up at the tons of water flowing over the rocks. |
| Mingo Falls |
|
 |
Mingo falls is located near Cherokee. To reach this falls you have to climb a total of 150 steps and then its a short hike to the viewing area. When we made the climb the water was very low but the view was worth the climb anyway. |
The Neet Bridge
largest bridge, being 265 ft. plus a 4 ft. overhang at each end. This howe truss bridge was built in 1880 by an unknown builder. The two-span bridge has cut stone abutments and piles with a sheet metal roof and is 16 ft. wide and 15 ft. high. Known in its earlier days as the Wetky Bridge, it was named for the old Wetky Mill nearby. This bridge rightfully deserves the name of Huffman as the county map shows the farm of Gruely R. Huffman. Nearby and further upstream is the house of Carl A. Huffman. It is still in use.
